INSER has officially rebranded to Verlingue in Italy, nearly two years after joining the Verlingue group.
The name change marks a new stage in the Adelaïde Group’s broader strategy to expand its presence in Europe, where it aims to position itself as a leading family-owned insurance broker.
The rebranding follows Verlingue’s acquisition of a majority stake in INSER in July 2023. The Italian operations are a key component of the group’s Better Future 28 strategic plan, which outlines its growth objectives in the region.
INSER, founded in 1979 in Trento, has established a presence across northern and central Italy with eight offices and more than 220 employees. Now operating under the Verlingue brand, the company has adopted the slogan “Proteggiamo il future” to signal its integration into the European group while continuing to operate within the Italian market.
“This name change symbolises much more than a brand evolution: it embodies our desire to step up our growth in Italy by capitalising on the power of the Verlingue network and on an ambitious long-term strategy. It's an opportunity to unite our teams around a common vision, strengthen our proximity to Italian customers and consolidate our position as a benchmark player,” said Vincent Harel (pictured above), CEO of Verlingue.
As part of the Better Future 28 roadmap, Verlingue is working to become one of the 10 largest insurance brokers in northern and central Italy by 2028. The plan focuses on expanding current operations, growing client portfolios and improving service delivery. In parallel, the company intends to pursue acquisitions to broaden its geographic reach and strengthen its technical capabilities.
Verlingue is also developing specialist offerings in areas such as credit, construction, financial guarantees, cyber, health and financial lines. The company is further investing in its mutual protection fund and expanding partnerships in related services, including legal, claims management and ESG-related solutions.
Another focus of the plan is attracting and retaining talent. Verlingue aims to enhance its brand appeal through professional development initiatives, a modernised working environment, investment in technology and updated organisational structures.
“We are charting a clear course to make Verlingue in Italy a benchmark in insurance brokerage to support our professional customers. Our investments, our expertise and our family business culture are serving a strong ambition: to protect Italian companies against increasingly complex risks,” said Pierpaolo Ruggeri, CEO of Verlingue Italy.
